How Assange might escape Ecuador’s London embassy.

It’s pretty amazing that a man like Julian Assange gets so much interest from so many people. After all, the guy who gave the world Wikileaks and is now held up in an Ecuadorian embassy under political asylum status has never revealed any stories people didn’t already know.

How odd then that the Ecuadorians would give political asylum to, and London would send police to surround the building of said embassy for a person whose only importance appears to be his being wanted for questioning in Sweden regarding sexual assault claims from two women in different cities. He said he’d turn himself in for questioning if only Sweden would assure him that he would not been extradited to the US. A very weird thing to ask for since he’s not wanted for any crimes in America.  But still, Sweden refused to agree to that request.

If this is the way the world works, then surely a Priest clad only in his underwear and chasing after a young boy in the street should be even more of an international sensation?

Why should Never Revealed Anything Of Relevance Julian Assange be on everyone’s lips and yet so few have heard of Angel Armando Perez? Granted, this cleric is relatively new to town. Plus, he doesn’t have Assange’s penchant for getting press attention for doing absolutely noting of international importance. He is accused of getting a kid drunk, taking his picture while asleep, touching his genitals, and then giving pursuit in his draws when the 12-year-old fled.

If that’s not good enough for our crusading press corps, consider Shreveport pastor Andrea Lewis. He had a relationship with one of his congregants starting when she was 13 years old. That is a no-no even in a place as shitty and useless as Louisiana. The fact that pastor Lewis has a woman’s name (guys are named Andrea?!) should be as much interest to the world as the pronunciation of Assange’s last name.

Another guy who could use some attention is Anthony Lavon Smith. Why can’t massive amount of media time be dedicated to this church pastor, who is suspected of molesting two girls for several years? Unlike Perez or Lewis, he didn’t even bother to wait for his victim to reach anywhere near puberty. One of his alleged sexual abuse victims was 11 years old. Now that’s a man who doesn’t have time to waste.

Like Jon Stewart says in that clip, who doesn’t already know what Assange has revealed? The man is truly unworthy of this entire brouhaha that surrounds him.  The men I’ve featured in this post are of far more relevance.  Too bad nobody seems to know it.
